Dennis Cyril Hardy
We regret to announce the passing of our dear brother, Dennis Cyril Hardy on July 31st 2017, at his home in Ingonish.
Born in Ingonish on December 24, 1950 he was the son of the late Levi and Christine (MacDougall) Hardy.
Dennis worked as a fisherman for most of his working life, until later years when he worked in the oil fields in Alberta until his retirement. Dennis loved spending time with his family. He was a member of Legion Branch 91. When Dennis wasn’t playing darts with his friends, you could find him cheering on his favorite Hockey team the Montreal Canadians.
Dennis is survived by sisters; Gloria ( Stephen, deceased) Whitty, Ingonish, Rhodena (Gordon) MacLeod, Ingonish, Brenda ( Frank) Dupont, Alliston Ont., Darlene (Garth) Kapal, Sarnia Ont. Brothers; Rick( Brenda, deceased) Hardy, Lake Echo NS, Darrell ( Valarie) Hardy, Ingonish. Along with 15 nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by, brother, Truman MacDougall , Ingonish and sister, Gloria Hardy in infancy.
There will be no visitation, a Funeral mass to celebrate his life will be held Friday August 4, 2017 at 11 am in St. Peter’s Parish Ingonish, with Fr. Lazarus Guria officiating.
